    seit einiger Zeit habe ich den Schreibtisch von Ingo Simon übernommen. Wie der eine oder andere vielleicht schon mitbekommen hat bin ich nun Euer neuer Ansprechpartner in Sachen Radio- und auch Tourpromotion. Bitte ändert Eure Newsletter- und Playlistenverteiler bzw.       AUF TOUR IN DEUTSCHLAND VOM 25.01. - 09.02.

      You can easily see why Piebald has become one of the most popular cult indie bands around today. They can make an immediate switch from sarcasm to intelligent or heart-felt, and they do it perfectly. This stylistic uniqueness that people have come to know and love, mixes so well with their catchy hooks and driven beats.
      Intelligent Indierock is a way to describe Piebald. Some of the bands they have toured with and fit in the fans of category would be Saves The Day, New Found Glory & Jimmy Eat World. Piebald have the potential to be the "next big thing" all the keys to a successful band are at their disposal.

      Cable Car Theory

      Influenced equally by the NYC and DC hardcore bands they grew up with and one another, CCT went about creating their own distinct take on good, aggressive, melodic songs.
      The music that appears on The Deconstruction is a little bit of both; at times brutal, at times earnest, but always familiar - both engaging and challenging the listener. Upon entering Big Blue Meenie Studios in early August of 2001, the band faced the dubious task of translating the power and energy of their live performance to tape.

      Bemusterung erfolgt mit Album, aus Quantitätsgründen allerdings nur selektiv.

      Mit Morning Beats, Paris legt das französiche Label Le Maquis ein Compilation vor, die in Zusammenhang mit Jean-Marie K, einem Pionier der französischen Elektronik Szene entstanden ist. Weitere Künstler sind: Guillaume La Tortue, Cedric Azenkoth von Dax Rider, Jean Jerome, DJ Numkat (Trip Hop, Jazzy Vibes compilation), Wide Open Spaces (Lounge Story) u.a.

      Bemusterung erfolgt aufgrund der geringen Menge an vorliegenden Samplern nur selektiv.

  • SUBURBAN RECORDS

      Das holländische Quartett hat hier wirklich eine klasse Scheibe in der musikalischen Schnittmenge: Stoner - 70‘s-Glam - Sleaze abgeliefert. Freunde von Bands wie : Soundgarden, Kyuss, Fu Manchu etc. sollten hier mal ein Ohr riskieren.

  • FAVORED NATION

      Mattias „IA“ Eklundh

      Mattias Eklundh, ist einigen sicherlich noch bekannt als Gitarrist der dänischen Band FATE, bzw dem Nachfolgeprojekt FREAK KITCHEN. Mit „Freak Guitar“ legt er ein Solo Album vor, das fachkundige Ohren als eine Mischung aus Satriani und Vai beschrieben haben. Mit anderen Worten: vielseitige, äußerst anspruchsvolle Gitarrenmusik auf höchstem technischen Niveau.

      Bemusterung erfolgt mit dem Album sobald die CDs hier eingetroffen sind.

  • REC 90

      Poor Rich Ones akt. Album: „Happy Happy Happy“ (VÖ: 21.01.2002)

      „Happy Happy Happy“, produced by Mark Trombino (Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World), is their third and most accessible album. The album features the evocative and powerful vocals of lead singer William Hut and takes the listener through 11 tracks of perfectly crafted music. Already successful in their home country where in the past they have been compared to Radiohead, REM and Manic Street Preachers, Happy Happy Happy will bring Poor Rich Ones to the wider international audience that they undoubtedly deserve.
      The band has received both critical and public acclaim with their ethereal vocals and extraordinary melancholic pop. In 1998 the band won the Spellemannsprisen, which is the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy Awards for their second album.

      The album won the price as the Best Pop Album from “Alarm” and was also nominated as Rock Album of the year at “Spellemannprisen”, which is the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy Awards equal to Grammy. In the past years Sister Sonny have contributed to several Norwegian and foreign movies.

      Logan, der bereits zwei Alben auf Trocadero veröffentlichte und mit seinem 2 CDs umfassenden Debüt „BULK“(nicht auf Trocadero) bereits ein Stück Musikgeschichte geschrieben hat, beweist ein weiteres Mal, dass er nicht zu kategorisieren ist. Wie schon auf dem besagten Debut ist die musikalische Palette (Singer-Songwriter/ Indie/Country) äußerst vielfältig.

      Bemusterung erfolgt selektiv mit dem Album, da uns nicht viele vorliegen.

    Aus Richmond in Virginia stammend haben sich River City High in den vergangenen zwei Jahren einen beachtlichen Namen im der US-Underground erspielt. Nicht nur durch vielbeachteten EP’s „Richmond Motel“ (1999) auf Big Wheel Recreation (u.a. Jimmy Eat World) und „R.C.H. forgets their manners“ (2000) auf Doghouse Records (u.a. The Get Up Kids, Hot Water Music), sondern auch durch ihre energiegeladenen Shows und ihre unglaubliche Live-Präsenz.
    Das Quartett teilte die Bühne schon mit Bands wie Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Less Than Jake, The Juliana Theory, A New Found Glory und traten im Rahmen der Vans Warped Tour in den Staaten auf.
