Wir haben unsere Auswertungsbögen, die die Labels bekommen, optimiert. Wenn möglich schickt uns doch Eure neusten Zugriffszahlen (Visits, PIs), damit wir das entsprechend vermerken und weitergeben können.

4. BRAND NEW - Neues Epitaph Signing (Epitaph/SPV)
www.brandnewrock.com
Am 13. Oktober 2003 wird das Album "Dej Entendu" des neuen Epitaph Signings BRAND NEW in die Läden kommen. Lest hierzu eine Info des Labels:
"We are proud to announce the release in Europe (excluding the UK) of "Deja Entendu", the new album by American rock band BRAND NEW through Epitaph Europe.
"Deja Entendu" has sold more than 100.000 copies in the USA since its release in June 2003. This is the second album for the band and was produced by Steven Haigler (Pixies, Quicksand, Local H).
BRAND NEW's debut album "Your Favorite Weapon" hit hard with 50,000 buyers who took the time to learn the words, then later scream them back at the band on a nightly basis. They have toured the US extensively with the likes of Finch, Dashboard Confessional or Taking Back Sunday, drawing ever growing audiences.
"Deja Entendu" is the sound of BRAND NEW painting itself out of a corner. As the band grew beyond the seven chords formula, they hoped that their listeners would too. After all, they were barely teenagers when they recorded their debut. "Some songs were written two or three years before the record came out. With the new one we put our ass on the line and delved out into a new thing, where we had no clue what would happen." - explains dummer Brian Lane.
Well, we do have a clue, and so do their thousands of fans in the US. With "Deja Entendu" the band has taken a huge step forward musically, and with it's official release in Europe, we are sure they'll leave their mark here as well."
The Band:
Jesse Lacey - Vocals
Vin Accardi - Guitar
Brian Lane - Drums
Garrett Tierney - Bass

www.theheartaches.com
"Unfortunately we have to cancel the complete GENERATORS / HEARTACHES tour due to serious health problems of one bandmember. As told by the band, the tour should take place now in spring 2004. As soon as the time shedule is confirmed, we´ll offer you dates.
Cheers, Daniel."

7. THE BLACK KEYS - Finalisten der Shortlist Awards (Fat Possum/SPV)
www.theblackkeys.com
The Black Keys' album Thickfreakness has been named one of the finalists in the 2003 Shortlist Award. The Shortlist finalists were chosen by musicians including Tom Waits, Chris Martin, Flea, Mos Def and others to be among the year's most musically creative albums.
Entertainment Weekly called The Black Keys one of the "Ten bands to watch in 2003." Rolling Stone called Thickfreakness "Scalding," NME labelled them "Brilliant", Mojo described them as "rich and compelling", and the Los Angeles Times said the Black Keys' album should be "one of the breakthrough releases of 2003."
The Black Keys, fresh from European festivals and a sold out UK tour, will kick off their fall US dates by playing a concert with other Shortlist finalists including Interpol, Cat Power, and Bright Eyes at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on Oct. 5. The concert will be covered by MTV2 for broadcast as a sixty-minute special in mid-October.
From there The Black Keys will headline dates on the East Coast and Midwest of the US, to come back to the UK for a BBC Radio 1 Live gig in Brighton and European shows in November, finishing up a full year of non-stop touring that has had them playing sold out shows across the U.S., Europe and Australia both headlining and opening for Beck on his most recent tour.
Also, one of the album tracks "Set You Free" will be included in the soundtrack of Jack Black's new movie "School of Rock" that comes out Oct. 3. The Black Keys appear on the soundtrack alongside Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Who, The Ramones and Cream. Read the full story here.
The Black Keys' album Thickfreakness is out now on Fat Possum Records. Their new single "Have Love Will Travel", including 2 Peel session tracks as B Sides, comes out in the UK on September 15th and in November in the rest of Europe.
